If you are a tourist please avoid this place at all costs. We were quiet and polite customers and ordered in Japanese. However, the staff took order for customers who came after us when we clearly indicated to the staff that we were ready to order. The only male staff refilled water for the table next to us and new customers but didn’t bother to fill our empty cups. But the worst part was when we asked about a dish that hasn’t come, the male staff first told us that they were still preparing it, then came back in 15 seconds and asked us if we have placed the order for that dish. Like if you were really preparing it obviously you had our order? I said yes because we ordered it in first and only round and didn’t make additional orders. He checked our bills and told us nah the order was NOT placed and he would ask the chef to cook it right away. I be like, then why did you lie about it was being made in the first place? Horrible service.
This is my 2nd time dine in, price is cheap (¥6600 set) but foods are fantastic! Highly recommend 👍🏻
Enjoy fantastic cuisine at a reasonable price with generous portions, excellent service, and a pleasant ambiance. However, anticipate a wait for a table, as reservations aren't accepted. Arrive early, jot down your name, and patiently await your turn.
The blue cheese pizza was to die for. I didn’t take a full picture of the pizza cos it smelled so good that we didn’t let the camera eat the pizza first !!
We had the pasta specials which was the pasta bolognese, it felt more like a deconstructed pasta , not too bad .
The salad was interesting , cheese used was delicious a nice mix with the onsen egg to add.
Everything good with beer .
We didn’t try the fondue although they were famous for it . I
Good cheese fondue! For 1800 yen the portion was a bit small though, with barely enough cheese for a small bread basket, so it is more like an appetizer than a main. The baked duck with cheese and mushroom dish was really good, and so was the fresh pasta with crab and roe.
Come early for lunch. Popular spot and gets busy quick.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had! This place is an icon of Karuizawa. The truffle cheese fondue was particularly impressive. Amazing flavors. The portions are on the large side for Japanese standards as well. Highly recommended.
The blue cheese fondue was excellent!! They really know how to make the little touch of white wine. The cheese salad and pizza were also good. Really good place to enjoy you dinner 👍🏽
Amazing place for experiencing cheese fondue, pizzas and pasta. Service and Atmosphere are top notch and worth the wait even there is a waitlist.
